Prepped for Success prepares students grades 9-12 for success in future healthcare careers.

Michigan Career Development Targets

Prepped for Success resources help educators to meet Michigan's Career Development Model for High School Career Preparation by building: 

  • Academic Connection | Connecting the classroom to future career opportunities

  • Career Exploration | Providing opportunities for students to gain knowledge about healthcare career options, training, and education 

  • Career Assessments | Highlighting the skills, interests, and values that help people become successful in healthcare careers 

  • Career Planning | Providing resources to help students make informed choices about educational and career pathways within healthcare

Using Prepped for Success Resources

Prepped for Success resources make it easy for educators to add healthcare career preparation into existing lessons, CTE programs, and health science classes: 

  • Aligns with Health Education Michigan Merit Curriculum Credit Guidelines for High School

  • Stand-alone or stackable lesson plans

  • Connects and expands on Career Interest Inventories

  • Builds on Career Planning by highlighting a variety of career and educational pathways and ladders

  • Opportunities for 1:1 interactions with current healthcare professionals
